Another Month of Sundays

The first piece was about waiting for the winter to be over and the rain to lift –  and while waiting, examining slowly every bit of the place you seem to be stuck in. In 2012 I was alone most of the week, family elsewhere. Wind forward five years and the waiting is different. I have my husband at home all the time, and my children have left, without expectation of return. I wait for our circumstances to improve, and for news of things happening elsewhere, and for the odd, fleeting, bright spot in the day, the week, the month .
